NAME: Robert J. "Bob" Froehlich. On the lecture circuit and in frequent media appearances, he often goes by "Dr. Bob" — he received his doctorate in public policy in 1979 from California Western University.
AGE: 55.
CAREER: Currently vice chairman and chief investments strategist with DWS Investments (formerly Scudder Funds, and before that Kemper Funds). Previous positions included research director and chief investment strategist at Van Kampen Merritt. His first job was working in steel mills in his hometown of Pittsburgh in the summers while attending college.
PERSONAL: Lives in Willowbrook, Ill. with his wife Cheryl. Has delivered a speech on investing in all 50 U.S. states, and on six continents.
