National Instruments lowers 4Q outlook
AUSTIN, Texas - Scientific and engineering software company National Instruments Corp. lowered its fourth-quarter profit and revenue outlook Thursday on expectations for a slowdown in business.
The company now expects profit between 35 cents and 43 cents per share, excluding charges, lower than prior guidance of 39 cents to 47 cents per share.
Revenue is expected to range from $204 million to $218 million instead of prior guidance of $208 million to $222 million.
The revised guidance falls within Wall Street's range of expectations. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect profit of 37 cents per share on revenue of $216.4 million.
