Rambus: ITC will investigate patent infringement

LOS ALTOS, Calif. - Rambus Inc., a provider of technology licenses, said late Thursday the U.S. International Trade Commission is investigating its claims that chip maker Nvidia Corp. has infringed nine of its patents.

The patents relate to graphics processors and media and communications processors among other products.

A representative for Santa Clara, Calif.-based Nvidia could not be reached for comment early Friday morning.
