JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. - A refrigerator parts manufacturer in the upstate New York's Mohawk Valley will close next year, putting more than 90 employees out of work.

Officials at Bridgeton, Mo.-based Hussmann Corp., a unit of Ingersoll Rand, announced this week it will close its Johnstown factory in mid-2009 and transfer production to Monterrey, Mexico.

The Johnstown factory has been producing refrigerator parts for more than 50 years. Company officials say about 75 of the factory's 92 workers are hourly employees in manufacturing and the rest are salaried administrative positions.

Company officials say the plant hasn't been operating at full capacity.

Golf ball manufacturer Callaway Golf closed its factory in neighboring Gloversville in July, putting 118 people out of work.
