Recalls this week: Hockey helmets, doll clothing

NEW YORK - Hockey moms and parents of small children might want to check the list of recalled items this week, which includes hockey helmets, doll clothing sets and Army figures.

The manufacturers reported no incidents, injuries or illnesses as a result of any of the faulty products.

A recall was also announced for a seasoning packet for chicken and fish from a Louisiana company.

PRODUCT: Hockey helmets made in Canada and distributed by Reebok-CCM Hockey U.S. Inc. under the brands RBK and CCM. They have a HECC sticker with the date code JUN 2013 on them. They were sold at sporting goods stores nationwide and Internet retailers from May through July.

HOW MANY: About 1,000.

WHY: The helmet's chin strap can unexpectedly disengage while in use and the helmet can fall off, posing risk of head and neck injury to consumers.

PRODUCT: Groovy Fashions Sassy Jammies doll clothing sets, made in Indonesia by Manhattan Group. The sets include a two-piece pajama set, eye mask and slippers. They were sold at mail order, Internet and specialty gift stores nationwide from January through October.

HOW MANY: About 9,200.

WHY: Surface paint on the pajama pants contains high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children.

PRODUCT: Toy Army figures, made in China and imported by OKK Trading. The figures, dressed in Army fatigues, were sold at dollar stores and online from June through September this year.

HOW MANY: About 5,400.

PRODUCT: Louisiana Fish Fry Products Chicken & Fish Bake Seasoned Coating Mix, which was sold in a 6-ounce bag with a "best by" date from Jan 1, 2008 through Sept. 25, 2011. It was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders in the past three years.

HOW MANY: Unknown

WHY: The product might contain undeclared buttermilk, which could cause a severe reaction in people who are allergic to milk.
