FedEx Freight raising rates in January
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - FedEx Freight and FedEx National LTL plan to raise general rates by 5.7 percent, effective Jan. 5.
The less-than-truckload companies are part of the FedEx Freight operating segment of the FedEx Corp., headquartered in Memphis.
The rate increases were announced Friday. The companies said the increases will not affect rates for other segments of the parent company which include FedEx Express and FedEx Ground.
FedEx Corp. shares rose $2.78, or 3.9 percent, to $73.71 in Friday trading.
