I received a lot of notes over the last couple days from people talking about the "G" commercial that has been running on sports broadcasts. Reader Ben Muschel says "I don't know why this is so awesome, it just is."
Others have said that the text of the commercial is cool with Lil' Wayne voicing, but since more people don't know about the new Gatorade "G," it's a little bit too early to stop referencing Gatorade. (One person said they thought "G" was meant to stand for 1,000.)

For its part, it seems the folks at Gatorade are all about playing it cool. A spokesperson acknowledged it was a Gatorade ad, that the goal was to create some intrigue with the campaign and that Spike Lee directed the spot.
I thought the commercial was good enough without the games, or without those mimes for that matter.
Tell us what you think after you watch it.
