The number one place people should invest is in gold bullion, "that's the asset first choice of strength," and within stocks, the health-care sector shows 'safe-haven' potential, according to Charlie Morris, head of absolute return at HSBC Global Asset Management.

Quantitative Easing Likely in UK
"The condition is dire," Charles Diebel from Nomura said on the UK economy. The Bank of England will likely resort to quantitative easing to help stabilize the economy, he added. Gold is doing well due to the uncertainty over the value of money, Charlie Morris from HSBC Global Asset Management told CNBC.

"Gold is the strongest asset class on the planet," Morris said.

We need the dollar and gold to rally at the same time as the previous trend of gold rallying when the dollar falls has been broken, he told CNBC.

Health care, a sector that's lagged for so long, offers very compelling value right now, according to Morris.

"Asset quality is everything. Keep it big, keep it liquid. And within the sectors, health care is blindingly obvious," he said.

He also said he is keen on Treasurys as it is a "strong asset" and suggests going long on inflation-linked higher-grade corporate bonds, particularly in the UK.
