Another strong showing by you, our voters, in CNBC.com's search to name the best "As Seen On TV" product.
Round 2 Results:
In the Household/Automotive Region, another convincing win by The Clapper, a slight upset in the No. 6 seed OxiClean taking care of the Flowbee and a very strong showing by the Shamwow against the Snuggie in a battle of the modern day favorites.
In the Kitchen/Food Region, George Foreman Grill trounced Big City Sliders, while Ron Popeil's Ronco Showtime Rotisserie handled his father Sam's invention, the Veg-O-Matic. The Ginsu Knives also easily advanced against what I thought was the strongest No. 7 seed in Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer.
The Health/Fitness region saw two upsets, including Life Call Alert (have we underestimated the power of "I've Fallen and I can't get up?), which knocked out NutriSystem and the Bowflex, which has now beaten down both the Nordic Track and the Perfect Pushup. The Thighmaster held on strong against Hair Club for Men, but Richard Simmons in the Sweet 16 is a daunting task--yes, even in a red leotard.
Girls Gone Wild expectedly took out Miss Cleo in the Everything Else region, while the Video Professor John W. Scherer, who told us he knew about this contest, beat the Bedazzler by a convincing margin. The Big Mouth Billy Bass sent the Pocket Fisherman home packing and Chia Pet wanted nothing to do with the shouting Matthew Lesko.
The matchups for the Sweet 16 of our CNBC.com "As Seen On TV" bracket will be up in a couple of hours, so stay "tuned."
