Among the earnings stories for Thursday, Jan. 29, from AP Financial News:

NEW YORK (AP) — Trucking company YRC Worldwide Inc. narrowed its fourth-quarter loss despite declining revenue, as operating expenses shrank.

CARLE PLACE, N.Y. (AP) — Florist and gift retailer 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. on Thursday posted a fiscal second-quarter loss, reversing a year-ago profit, as the company recorded a big charge related to a big write-down in one of its business segments.

ISLANDIA, N.Y. (AP) — Information technology management software maker CA Inc. said Thursday its fiscal third-quarter profit grew, helped by the company's broad product line as well as lower expenses.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Harsco Corp. on Thursday reported an 85 percent drop in fourth quarter profit, but excluding a significant restructuring charge the industrial services company would have beaten Wall Street estimates.

VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP) — USA Truck Inc. said Thursday it swung to a profit in the fourth quarter by slashing costs to offset collapsing demand for its freight shipping services.

NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of Arctic Cat Inc., which makes all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles, dropped Thursday after offering a weaker-than-expected outlook and saying it would suspend its dividend, despite posting a smaller third-quarter loss.

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Zenith National Insurance Corp. said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit dropped 79 percent, hurt by losses in its investment portfolio and a decline in net premiums earned.
