Kurt Warner Has Book Deal, Win or Lose

Whether the Cardinals emerge as a winners or losers on Super Bowl Sunday, Kurt Warner will still come away with a book deal.

Warner's marketing agent Rob Lefko of Priority Sports said he is close to finalizing a book deal for the Arizona Cardinals quarterback.

The deal includes a guarantee, but Lefko said the deal will be worth more if Warner becomes gets his second Super Bowl ring.

"The story doesn't change a lot if they win," Lefko said. "It just becomes easier to market the book this Summer if he's a Super Bowl champion again."

This book, Warner's third official publication, will focus on raising his family, with his wife Brenda, and dealing with life's challenges along the way.

His first book, "All Things Possible," was a biography co-authored by Michael Silver and published by Harper Collins in 2000, after Warner led the St. Louis Rams to the title. A second book was a children's book called "Keep Your Head Up."

Lefko said that there's still another biography in Warner. "That book wasn't going to be written two years ago, today or two years from now," Lefko said.

The perfect time?

"Hopefully after a Hall of Fame induction," Lefko said. A win on Sunday will go a long way to that publishing goal.
