A shocking scheme to use strippers to solicit information from Wall Street bankers. Another plan to steal secrets and cash in on stock that's about to soar. Insider Trading Scam

Eugene Plotkin and David Pajcin ran one of the biggest insider trading rings in U.S. history. The con involved some of Wall Street's most reputable firms and illegal trading in the stocks of more than 25 companies.

Inside Accomplice

Stanislav Shpigelman, a Merrill Lynch investment banker, supplied Plotkin and Pajcin with confidential information that netted the twosome nearly $7 million.

All in the Family

Sonja Anticevic, a Croatian underwear seamstress and David Pajcin's aunt, made two million dollars overnight in the insider trading scheme.

The Girlfriend

Plotkin and Pajcin recruited Pajcin's girlfriend Monika Vujovic, a stripper in New York City, to solicit sensitive financial information from Wall Street bankers at the gentleman's club where she worked. But, the dirty dancing didn’t strip secrets from the clubs clientele.

The Investigation

David Markowitz, assistant regional director of the SEC'S New York office, began investigating Plotkin and Pajcin after the SEC's Market Surveillance Unit caught some highly unusual trading activity.

Pajcin’s Last Deal

With the SEC hot of the case, David Pajcin had one last deal to make. He cut a deal with prosecutors and ratted on Plotkin and Shpigelman.

Take It Or Leave It

Assistant U.S. Attorney Ben Lawsky offered Pajcin a proposition: become a government cooperator in exchange for the chance of a lesser sentence. Pajcin accepted.

The Verdicts
Eugene Plotkin pleads and is eventually sentenced to nearly five years in prison. David Pajcin's punishment?
