Web Extra: 3 Signs It's Time to Break Up With Your Financial Planner

It's more important than ever to make sure you have the right financial pro working for you. CFP June Walbert has the three signs it's time to break up with your financial planner and find someone new:

1. If they tell you to keep doing what you're doing, even when it hasn't been working, think about shopping around. You need someone in tune with your goals and strategies who you can trust and who will listen to you.

2. If your financial planner makes more money than you it might be time to break up. Advisors that work on fees and commissions make money no matter what the market does. Find a CFP who is salaried and doesn't have a hidden agenda.

3. They work for you! If you aren't getting all the customer service you need, it's time to look elsewhere.
