Stop Trading!: Cramer's Fave Nat Gas Stock

Wednesday, 11 Feb 2009 | 4:03 PM ET

Anadarko Petroleum is Cramer’s top natural gas pick right now, he said during Wednesday’s Stop Trading!. The sector may be down today, but this stock “should stand out.”

Cramer attributed the declines to a “devastating” Jeffries call on both Devon Energy , saying the company didn’t have enough cash flow to cover its drilling, and the entire group. But Anadarko , which smartly hedged its natural gas costs, is in much better position to ride this out, he said.

“If you want to be in natural gas,” Cramer said, “go with APC.”

The CEOs of Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, State Street and Bank of New York Mellon were on Capitol Hill Wednesday, testifying before Congress. Watch the video for Cramer’s reaction. He had a suggestion for improving the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

Cramer's charitable trust owns Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo.
