The Fresno Grizzlies, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are the first sports team to try to cash in on the "As Seen on TV" craze.
The Grizzlies announced today, with a spoof "As Seen On TV" YouTube video, that the team will be giving away a free shammy cloth with the Grizzlies logo on it to the first 2,500 fans that show up at their stadium for the game against the Salt Lake Bees on June 6.
"The idea actually started with the video and then evolved into the theme night," said team spokesman Paul Kennedy. "We think this will be a hallmark promotion for us."
