Syniverse to replace Advanced Medical in S&P 400
NEW YORK - Standard & Poor's said Thursday Syniverse Holdings Inc. will replace eye care products company Advanced Medical Optics Inc. in the S&P MidCap 400 on a date still to be determined.
Advanced Medical Optics is being acquired by drug maker Abbott Laboratories in a $1.36 billion-deal that is expected to close this quarter.
Syniverse Holdings Inc., which provides wireless voice and data services to telecommunications companies, is based in Tampa, Fla.
