Matt King is bullish on consumer staples, and his interest encompasses manufacturing as well as retailing.
He's very specific about which part of the sector to invest in.
"What we do at Bell Investment Advisors is identify long-term trends in the market," he told CNBC. "We think we're on the cusp of one here, of people moving toward being more frugal."
He sees popular attitudes moving toward saving more and spending less, as people were forced to do during the Great Depression.
