Major Indices Approach their November 20th Lows

In early afternoon trading the Dow Jones Industrial Average came within 1 point of its November 20, 2008 closing low. As we are getting close to these November lows, here are some key dates for each of the major indices, both on a closing and intraday basis:

Dow

Last time the Dow [.DJIA Loading... ()

] closed below 7,552.29 was on 03/12/2003. It closed at 7,552.07.

Last time the Dow crossed below its intraday low of 7,449.38 on 11/21/08 was 03/12/2003. It hit an intraday low of 7,416.64.
The last time the Dow closed below:
