Taiwan's central bank on Wednesday lowered its main policy rate by 25 basis points to a record low of 1.25 percent at an unscheduled meeting, after the government announced GDP fell at a record pace in the fourth quarter.
The rate cut is the central bank's seventh straight cut since late September and will take effect on Thursday.
