Vote For A-Rod's New Nickname
Posted By:Darren Rovell
Sectors:Media

AP
Alex Rodriguez

The way things are going with Alex Rodriguez these days, the New York papers are going to run out of nicknames long before the New York Yankees third baseman is off the back pages.

But we here at CNBC feel responsible in making A-Rod's new nickname official.

So from now until Monday at 9 a.m. ET, were taking your votes.

This past week, we asked for your ideas for nicknames. The most popular submissions were those we've already heard like "A-Roid" and "A-Fraud."

Besides those two, we picked 10 of the best:

"Ster-Rod," Bob Forsyth, Dallas, Texas
"Roid-Rod," Gregg Coleman, Dayton, Ohio
"Alex Roidriguez," Justin Ferraro, New York
"Chemical Al," Peter Katevatis, Vancouver, BC
"A-Positive," Jim Brown, Kennebunk, Maine
"Shot Rod," James Willis, Telluride, Colorado
"The Big Boli-Bino," Jackie Adkins, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
"Pay-Roid," David Sullivan, Rumford, Rhode Island
"Ole4Bole," John Mahowald, Brownsville, Indiana
"Alex Roidragez," Christopher Dyer, Portland, Maine

Now that we've given credit where credit is due, since we still haven't gotten our due credit for naming Shaq the "Big Cactus", vote for your favorite in the poll below.
