Our very own Rick Santelli definitely struck a nerve Thursday. His "Chicago Tea Party" stand has set records for us in terms of video stream traffic. Our old record was held by Jim Cramer's "they know nothing" tirade.
There was something interesting in the traffic patterns though. After people piled in to see Rick's video, you know where most of them went? Right into our "Million Dollar Home" slide show ... a comparison of what you can get for $1 million around the country, with some statistics about the change in the housing market.
What does this say? Maybe while Rick struck a nerve about everyone having to pay for an irresponsible few, it also points up that when it comes to homes, we all have a yearning of sorts. Maybe you can't blame people for stretching.
