Adidas Sends Players To College For March Madness

Some of the biggest endorsers of adidas never went to college: Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady and Josh Smith. So the shoe and apparel company, which had three teams in the Final Four last year including the eventual champion Kansas, is hoping to grab the attention of the consumer by putting college jerseys on the four players who went straight from high school to the NBA.

The "March Is A Brotherhood" campaign will hit YouTube and the adidas Web site today. It's mostly to promote the company's Mad Clima footwear that includes the logos of the top adidas teams in this year's tournament – UCLA and Louisville and Kansas (see below).

Here are what I think are the best spots — Dwight Howard (Kansas) and Kevin Garnett (UCLA).

Here are pictures of the shoes, which are available at retail now for $80.
