Verizon Wireless is hiring 125 customer-service reps in Dublin, OH

Target is opening 27 new stores in 15 states on Sunday. Each store will employ anywhere from 200 to 300 workers.

IBM is set to hire 1,300 workers for IT center in Dubuque, IA

HP is building a customer support center in Rio Rancho, NM, which is expecting to hire 1,300 workers.

APAC Customer Services, which provides customer services for other companies, is adding 450 workers at its Tucson, AZ call center.

McLane, a food-distribution service owned by Berkshire Hathaway, is expecting to build a distribution center in Republic, MO that could hire up to 400 workers.

Wal-Mart is hiring 400 workers for a new SuperCenter in Jacksonville, FL.

IBM is also expecting to hire 200 workers for a new call center in Daleville, IN
