OTM Web Extra: Looking for a Job
Monster.com founder Jeff Taylor offers tips to help online job seekers stand out, with CNBC's Carmen Wong Ulrich.

It’s easy to apply to a job online, but not so easy to guarantee you hear back -- anyone who's done it knows how grueling it is to submit application after application into the ether of cyberspace. Monster.com founder Jeff Taylor has these tips for standing out from the online crowd.

1. Fill out and fill in your social network profiles. Most of these sites will make connections for you to old coworkers, college friends, etc. and more connections means more potential pathways to a job.

2. Show your work. Use your online resume as an html link farm to your work life as well as your hobbies and interests. Anything that you can link within your resume to give recruiters more information? Do it.
