The major indices have some distance to go today if they are going to break weekly records. However, there are 4 Dow components that are on track for their best week in at least 40 years (individual stock data available from 1968): Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, GE, and American Express. Additionally, DuPont is within striking distance. 5 of the top 6 performers in the Dow this week also set records in November. Of note, most of the individual weekly records were also set in recessionary periods.
