Obama Offers Bernanke Strong Endorsement
Investors trolling for clues regarding President Obama's feelings toward Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke may have heard one during the question and answer portion of today's speech to the Business Roundtable.

Near the end of the 45-minute discussion, the President said Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair "have done an extraordinary job." It's the first time the President has taken the opportunity to publicly praise the Fed Chairman.
There had been speculation President Obama would replace Bernanke with his own pick when the Fed Chairman's term expires next January. But after today, that seems less than certain.
