Little Nate Gets Big Billboard

New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson is quickly turning into a marketing icon. After all, it's hard to avoid the little guy when he puts up 30 points every night.

So about a month after we said it was time for Robinson to get some advertising coin thrown his way, the folks at Nike [NKE  Loading...      ()   ] are obliging. Next Tuesday, on St. Patrick's Day, Nike is releasing a version of Robinson's green slam dunk contest shoes in extremely limited quantities at the House of Hoops in Harlem.

CNBC has learned that, this weekend, Nike is putting Robinson on its big billboard above the Footaction [FL  Loading...      ()   ] by Madison Square Garden. The spot has been graced by Nike's greatest stars including Lance Armstrong, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson. Here's what it's going to look like.

We love it and think it's going to get a ton of buzz. By the way, remember that green Spalding ball that Robinson used to win the Slam Dunk Contest? Well, someone won the auction for it yesterday. It sold for an astounding $8,650.
