  • On the Pearl the average age of cruisers depends on the vacation. For Alaska cruises the average age is 44 years old, while in the Caribbean it is 40 years old and the repositioning cruise has the highest median age - 65
  • The Pearl weighs 93,502 tons and is 965 ft long, with a 106 ft beam
  • The fuel capacity of the Norwegian Pearl is 2,712 tons and a horsepower of 30,000
  • There are 1,150 crew members on the Pearl which include 10 butlers that handle the "Top 48" - the VIP Suites.
  • On the ship, for one week at sea, the Pearl serves more than 80,000 meals (12,000 meals a day)
  • The Pearl’s bar needs each passenger to spend $7.25 on drinks (soda, bottled water or alcohol) per day (we estimated the bar tab, just to break even for the week at $112,000)
  • On the Norwegian Pearl there are 1,100 security cameras and a full time staff that records and watches footage 24/7
  • In Belize, local officials estimate that each passenger brings an average of $87 per person into the country’s economy – so, one ship in one 8 hour period brings in approx. $250,000
  • Each day, the laundry handles at least 2,400 (white, cabin) towels, 1,200 sets of bed sheets, 6,000 napkins and a mere 700 table cloths
