Police say vandals have attacked the home of Sir Fred Goodwin, the former CEO of Royal Bank of Scotland whose 700,000 pound ($1.2 million) annual pension has prompted public outrage.
Police say they were called to the house in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, early Wednesday morning.
Windows were smashed in the building and in a car parked in the driveway.
Goodwin resigned as chief executive last year as RBS ran into severe difficulties and had to be propped up by the British government.
Shares in Royal Bank of Scotland were 2.8 percent lower at the close in London.
