CNBC “Trading Matters” – Nabs Nomination at ASTRA Awards

Singapore, 26 March 2009 CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, earned a nomination in the “Most Outstanding News Program” for its daily “Trading Matters” show, from the 7th Annual ASTRA Awards

The ASTRA Awards recognize the talent and achievements of subscription television programs in Australia.  A record number of entries were submitted this year from a wide cross section of channels showcasing everything from current affairs, music, documentaries and drama. CNBC “Trading Matters” was one of 5 programs nominated in this category.

“This nomination is a testament to the quality of business news programs that CNBC, as a global network, produces,” said John Casey, Director of News and Programming, CNBC Asia Pacific.  “We are constantly ensuring that all the content that is produced both regionally and globally is of the highest standard.”
