Singapore, 8 April 2009 CNBC, First in Business Worldwide expands its pan-Asian distribution with a new deal on SkyCable’s Gold Tier in the Philippines.

This agreement is part of SkyCable’s digital rollout plans. The channel will be available to all Gold Tier digital subscribers when the product is rolled out commercially in May 2009. Subscribers who wish to view CNBC without joining the Gold Tier Package will be able to do so via SkyCable’s à la carte service option.

“This renewal agreement with SkyCable will further enhance our distribution and strengthen our presence in the Philippines”, said Jacqueline Lam, Head of Network Distribution, CNBC Asia Pacific.

“Being on Gold Tier will increase our visibility in the Metro Manila Area giving us more opportunity to grow within the region and even greater access to our core audience”, she added.

“We look forward to the significant value that a first-rate business channel like CNBC will add to our digital SkyCable Gold subscribers, as well as to our other subscribers who choose it as an a la carte option, especially in these trying economic times”, said Ray Montinola, Head of Marketing, SkyCable Corporation.

“We are extremely excited about expanding our reach in the Philippines and are looking forward to continuing our collaborative partnership with SkyCable,” said Jeremy Pink, President and Managing Director, CNBC Asia Pacific.

CNBC is already distributed on SkyCable’s “Metro Pack Tier”, Dream and Destiny in the Metro Manila Area offering maximum reach to our target audience of C-suite elite and high net worth investors.

CNBC will be aired on Channel 111 on SKYCable’s Gold Tier.
