Sportsbook Bets Against The Lakers

CNBC.com Los Angeles Lakers |
ONLINE SPORTSBOOK IS BETTING AGAINST THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS.
What am I talking about? I just got information that Bodoglife.com is actually taking a stand by saying that they are so sure that the Lakers won't win the championship, that if they do, they'll refund your money.
Yes, you read that right.
But I'll repeat it again.
From now until the start of the playoffs (this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET), if you place a bet on any other team but the Lakers, and your team doesn't win, but the Lakers do, you're still good.
You'll get your money back.
“In all my years in the business I’m not aware of any sportsbook that has ever taken a side, especially against a favorite such as this years’ Lakers to win the NBA Championship," said Bodoglife.com sportsbook manager Richard Gardner. "However, I just could not resist the temptation to take a stand, especially since the general public is betting the Lakers down to even money. The Cavs are clearly playing better basketball than the Lakers and if the Celtics can get healthy by the semifinals, they can handle the Lakers as well.”
Update: The maximum bet is $600 and Bodoglife.com will refund up to $50. Even still, there's at least seven figures on the line here if the Lakers win.
