Airfares, generally speaking, are already lower than they’ve been in years. But there’s another way to sweeten the deal if you’re a frequent flier: airline reward credit cards. Credit.com’s John Ulzheimer reveals his favorites:

1. Delta AmEx SkyMiles: The Platinum Delta SkyMiles card allows you to earn one mile for every dollar spent. With your first purchase, you will earn 20,000 SkyMiles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles, plus you can earn one companion coach class ticket each year upon renewal. The card comes with an annual fee of $150 and an interest rate around 13 percent.

2. Miles by Discover Card. You can earn double miles on up to $3,000 in travel and restaurant purchases, plus one mile for every $1 you spend. There is a zero percent APR on purchases and transfers for the first six months.

3. Capital One No Hassle Miles. Earn 1.25 miles for every $1 you spend. There is no limit on the miles you can earn and the miles do not expire. In addition, no blackout dates or seat restrictions.
