Faster, more accurate results that drop down directly from the Quote box in the header.  Find the companies and indexes you want quickly and easily.  Click on the company in the results drop down that you want to research, and you will be taken to the CNBC.com quote page.



If you don't see the company or index you are searching for in the drop down, click on the "View All Results" link to go to the full symbol lookup page and page through all the results for your search term.

Each company or index will be labeled with a country code, especially important now that we supply London quotes!  If you want to research BP stock traded in the US, simply click on the listing with "US" as the country code, if you want to check out BP traded on the London exchange, click on the BP listing with "GB" as the country.

Note:
If you are already familiar with the London ticker of the company you would like to research, append the -LN suffix (BP-LN) for the London exchange, or the -GB suffix for the Great Britain (GB) composite. (BP-GB)

Country codes follow the ISO standards used in currency symbols and other applications.

Ability to search and request up to 10 companies or indexes at one time for comparisons or to simply speed up your research:

• Type desired company name into the Quote box in the CNBC.com header

• Use arrow keys to highlight your selection in the suggestion drop down 

• The ticker of the selected company will appear in the Quote box

• Start typing the next desired company, follow the steps above

• Once you have typed in up to 10 names, hit your enter key, or click "Go" and you will be taken to a multi-quote page.
