The Latest Picks That Paid – Friday May 22nd

Quicker Ticker

Our traders are good but you knew that. Check out their latest picks that paid in a feature we call “Quicker Than The Ticker."

Tim Seymour

On May 13th the Ambassador headed far away for a metals play. At the time he said, “Some of the miners in South Africa and Australia have never been more profitable, look at Gold Fields [GFI  Loading...      ()   ].”

Seems like Seymour has the midas touch. GFI shares surged 9% as as investors battled the bear with bullion.

Joe Terranova

On May 17th the Liquidator bet that the Bank of America [BAC  Loading...      ()   ] bounce was over. At the time he said, “Bank of America for me, it’s a classic short squeeze.”

Looks like Terranova avoided a pinch. After multiple stock offerings and a ratings downgrade, shares plunged 16%.

Pete Najarian

On May 14th the Pit Boss took a shine to Titanium Metals [TIE  Loading...      ()   ]. At the time he said, this is a stock that’s underperformed for quite a while. I like the valuation levels.”

You might say Najarian’s trade was elemental. Shares of the metals maker jumped 14-percent as investors bet its strong balance sheet could weather the economic downturn.

Now that’s Fast Money.
