Singapore, 25 May 2009 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, announced the appointment of Jane Wang to its Asia Pacific team, as the Vice President of Advertising Sales, China. Wang will report to Toby Hayward, Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales, CNBC Asia Pacific. Wang will be based in Shanghai effective immediately.
In this capacity, Wang will oversee CNBC's advertising sales and marketing operation for China. She will work with our partners, the Shanghai Media Group, on marketing CNBC related programmes on China Business News as well as promoting CNBC Global to China based clients.
Wang last held the position of Vice President of Sponsorship & Advertising Sales and General Manager for Viacom Asia Inc in Shanghai, MTV Networks Shanghai Representative Office. In this capacity, she was overseeing the sales and client services team and leading new developments to boost revenue growth such as developing new relationships with various media companies for events and co-promotion.
Prior to Viacom Asia, Wang was the Managing Director of English First in Beijing.
