You must "absolutely buy" the tech sector, said Gene Munster, senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray.
“The reality is, things are getting better [for tech],” Munster told CNBC. (Counterpoint: Watch the video to see why one analyst disagrees.)
According to Munster, online advertising, e-commerce and hardware spending are the sectors that show the most stabilization.
“You need to own the big winners in tech and the large cap winners,” he said.
Apple — “The consumers want their products and I think the stock is just going higher — especially with the new iPhones and the products that have already been laid out, with or without Steve Jobs,” he said of the company.
Munster does not own shares of any of the companies mentioned above.
