The Obama administration’s economic stimulus plan is working, Rep. Barnkey Frank, D-Mass. told CNBC.

“Nobody says we might get it right,” he said in an interview. “So far, the plan that the Obama administration has put forward has worked better than a lot of people expected.”

Frank also lauded Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke’s roles in helping to restore the credit markets.

“Ben Bernanke is very aware of the potential inflationary danger from all the liquidity he has put into the system,” he said. “He is convinced and others are convinced at that operation that they are in place to unwind it in a gradual way.”
