A pair of cowboy boots donated and signed by Warren Buffett has sold for $2700 at a Nebraska charity auction.
That's $600 more than the $2100 high bid for boots signed by Buffett's friend and friendly competitor, Bill Gates.
Larry the Cable Guy's autographed boots went for the relative bargain price of $700.
None of them could compete, however, with a 24-foot Elite aluminum goose-neck stock trailer, donated by Mid-Plains Equipment Inc. of Kearney. It sold for $17,750.
The money raised goes to the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Eppley Cancer Center and local healthcare.
