ABOUT THE COMPETITION

CNBC and Allianz have partnered to bring you The Good Entrepreneur, a competition looking to identify entrepreneurs across Europe with environmentally responsible business concepts.

The entry period has now closed and the three Finalists have been announced. Over the weeks running up to the Grand Final in November 2009, you can follow the Finalists in their journey as they meet with business and academic mentors to discuss and refine their business plans. They will be writing a blog about these experiences and the insights they gain.

The individual named “The Good Entrepreneur of 2009” will receive a prize package valued at more than €250,000. The package includes exposure on CNBC as well as comprehensive business support from Allianz.

The finalists will be filmed to feature in a four-part televised series on CNBC, documenting the progress of each person. In the series finale, a panel of high profile judges will reveal the winner of the competition. The series will be broadcast across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and South East Asia during the autumn of 2009.
