Bidding on eBay for this year's "Power Lunch with Warren Buffett" begins this coming Sunday, June 21 at 10p ET.
The auction closes Friday, June 26 at 10p ET.
If you want to get into the action, be prepared. Last year, the lunch sold for $2.1 million.
Proceeds go to San Francisco's Glide Foundation, an organization that has "served the poor and disenfranchised for near 45 years."
Bidding will start at $25,000 and you will need to be pre-qualified to participate. (They don't want disruptive sham bids.)
If you don't want to go for the big prize, there is also an easy way to make much smaller donations to Glide on the auction's web page.
The winner gets to bring seven friends to the lunch, which will be held at New York's Smith & Wollensky steak restaurant.
Buffett has contributed his "Power Lunch" for the last ten years.
Glide's founder Reverend Cecil Williams is quoted in a news release as saying, “Mr. Buffett’s generosity and long-time commitment to Glide’s work is amazing. These times are especially hard for people at the lowest income levels. We put 100% of the auction proceeds to provide food, clothes, affordable housing, free healthcare and more to those who need it most.”
