Markets On Track For Biggest Losing Streak in a Month or More

With the futures pointing south this morning, the Nasdaq [COMP  Loading...      ()   ] could be down for the fourth straight day while the S&P [.SPX  Loading...      ()   ] and Dow [.DJIA  Loading...      ()   ] are right behind with a potential third day of declines.  If the day closes down, this will be the first time we have seen streaks like this in awhile.

  • NASDAQ
    • Current streak - down 3 days in a row
    • Last occurred - 5/22/09
    • Biggest 3-day percentage drop since 5/13
    • If closes down today - longest down streak since March 3, when it was down 5 days in a row
  • Dow and S&P
    • Current streak - down 2 days in a row
    • Last occurred - 6/10 for the Dow, 6/8 for the S&P
    • Biggest 3-day percentage drop since 5/13
    • If closes down today - longest down streak since 5/22/09. Both were down for 4 days
