Are hedge funds making a comeback? New reports suggest that after months of losses they may be turning a corner.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, “In May, hedge funds soaked up net cash inflows for the first time in 10 months and the pace at which funds are closing has slowed. “
But that’s not all.
Hedge-fund managers are outperforming global benchmarks, writes Bloomberg. The Eurekahedge Hedge Fund Index, tracking more than 2,000 funds, gained 5.3 percent in May, its best performance since February 2000.
