The newspaper industry is suffering badly. Print reporters are watching their jobs and salaries disappear, feeling a bit like an AIG [AIG  Loading...      ()   ] executive who isn't getting his bonus. Ok, maybe not like that.

What can you, the former newspaper reader, do?

Watch, and give.

As this Slate video called "How to Save Newspapers" shows, for the price of a cup of coffee, you can change a person's life. I'm not talking about some tiny Colombian kid with a bulging stomach and sad eyes. Though you could help him, too, for the price of a second cup of coffee.
