Levi Strauss to stay in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO - Levi Strauss & Co. on Monday announced it has renewed the lease at its San Francisco headquarters for a 10-year period.
The privately held apparel company was founded in San Francisco more than 150 years ago. It has held its current flagship location at Levi's Plaza since 1982.
Levi Strauss has been hard hit during the recession. The denim maker reported in April that its profit fell by 51 percent in the first quarter due to weaker sales and the stronger dollar's negative effect on overseas sales.
