WALTHAM, Mass. - Four decades of high fashion will come to an end when Yolanda's Bridal Salon closes its doors in suburban Boston next month.

In addition to putting countless brides-to-be in their wedding gowns, the Waltham store has also sold designer outfits to celebrities such as Natalie Cole, Eva Gabor and Diane Carroll.

Owner Yolanda Cellucci said the decision to sell the boutique to local developers for an undisclosed price was a difficult one that was not prompted by financial problems. But she cited the changing retail environment as a factor.

The 74-year-old Cellucci also said she wanted to spend more time with her family.

The store will begin a closing sale next week with discounts of up to 75 percent, before shutting its doors on Aug. 29.
