Abbott Laboratories reaffirms 2009 profit view
NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. - Drug developer and medical device maker Abbott Laboratories said Wednesday it expects earnings per share in 2009 inline with Wall Street forecasts.
The company expects third-quarter profit between 88 cents and 90 cents per share, excluding charges, while analysts expect 90 cents per share. For the full year, the company expects profit between $3.65 and $3.70 per share, while Wall Street expects profit of $3.69 per share.
The drug developer said Wednesday its second-quarter profit fell but the results still met Wall Street forecasts.
