Las Vegas Sands promotes executive Goldstein
LAS VEGAS - Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp. has promoted longtime executive Robert Goldstein to executive vice president and extended his contract two and a half years.
Goldstein has been with the company controlled by billionaire CEO Sheldon Adelson since 1995.
The Las Vegas-based company says in a regulatory filing that Goldstein will make a base salary of $1.5 million per year in his new role, plus a possible bonus and stock options.
Goldstein says in a statement that he looks forward to continuing work to address the company's issues.
The company said in May that it lost $87.7 million in the first quarter.
