WILMINGTON, Delaware - Actor Warren Beatty has made a living in front of the camera, but he doesn't want one at his upcoming deposition in a bankruptcy court fight with the Tribune Co.

Attorneys for Beatty filed an emergency motion Thursday asking a Delaware judge to prohibit the videotaping of his July 23 deposition in a dispute with the media company over the rights to cartoon detective Dick Tracy.

Beatty's attorneys argue that the videotaping is unnecessary and could result in a violation of his privacy.

Tribune has offered to negotiate a protective order restricting dissemination of the tape. But Beatty contends the order would be inadequate to prevent dissemination and Internet distribution of the tape, which he claims would be in high demand because of his celebrity status.
