CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A former top aide to Gov. Joe Manchin is now working for Mylan Inc., the Pennsylvania-based drug company whose co-founder has long been a Manchin supporter.

Lara Ramsburg served as Manchin's chief spokeswoman in his first term and director of policy until last month. Mylan spokesman Michael Laffin says she is now head of special projects at the pharmaceutical giant.

Mylan's co-founder, Milan "Mike" Puskar, was an early supporter of Manchin's. Puskar plans to retire as chairman of the company's board on Oct. 1.

Manchin's daughter, Heather Bresch is a Mylan executive.
